Beartooth Highway | Near Cooke City
Luck was really on my side for this one! We decided to travel to Cook City via the Beartooth Highway. If you haven't taken the trip I highly suggest you do! The journey is packed full of beauty in every direction! When we found this spot the clouds had dissipated and the likelihood of colors was dwindling. We were tired of driving so we decided to grab some dinner and head home. After we finished eating we stepped out of the cafe to find the clouds had gathered above the mountain peaks. It was a good lesson for me and fortunately we were able to make it back to the spot just in the nick of time.
