Lost Lake near Red Lodge Montana is an amazing hike and the water is refreshing on a hot summer day! We enjoyed the view by the lake before I made my way up the side of the boulder hill. Be aware that the boulders are much, much larger than they look. Doogle even got spooked and found himself stranded on the edge of a craves. Fortunately we made it without any injuries and wow! It was absolutely worth it!

Our trip to Arizona wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Grand Canyon. The day was beautiful in Mesa when we left for our adventure. Sadly we weren't really prepared for the weather in Northern Arizona. When we reached the Grand Canyon the wind was howling and standing next to the edge was relatively painful. We worked our way along the edge of the massive canyon until we reached our stop. I'd planned this shoot for the next morning so we went to bed, it didn't seem like it took very long before morning hit. I jumped out of bed and put every piece of clothing I had on before I left. It was still dark when I reached Horse Shoe Bend and the wind was still just as rough. But, despite the cold and wind I'm thankful I had the opportunity to get the shot.

I'm always taking photos, from the moment the light is right until it disappears behind the horizon. And let me tell you... it's always worth it. This specific shot was taken at the mouth of East Rosebud, the day seemed promising for a colorful sunset but instead it rendered an unexpected combination of light and depth.
