The colors of Montana are best described with a photo and unique every day. This shot doesn't have an extravagant story behind it but it was a lovely day all the same. My friend and I started our journey with a few stops planned, the weather was gloomy and I wasn't sure the shot would happen. Thankfully when we reached the sunset location the Western sky was clear and as the sun dipped below the horizon Montana surprised me once again.

The back roads of Montana can amaze you and this was one of those days... We started the day by deciding it would be fun to take the roof off of my friends jeep and travel on 90 miles of dry dusty gravel. You can imagine how dirty we were. About mid way though the trip we noticed the clouds collecting and we knew that rain was in our future. Just before the rain hit we stopped and I jumped out of the jeep just in time to capture the approaching storm.
